My approach to mental health and wellbeing
You will be treated respectfully as we work collaboratively to achieve your goals. By utilising mindfulness and self-compassion principles, I aim to help people develop a deeper understanding of themselves and greater capacity for self-acceptance. I believe that when we can be kind and accepting towards ourselves and others, we move towards experiencing peace of mind.
What is telehealth therapy?
Telehealth refers to either a videoconference consultation involving communication between you and your psychologist using both a video and audio connection, or a telephone consultation.
Telehealth is an accessible and secure way to access one on one videoconference counselling with a qualified psychologist.¹
Is counselling via telehealth effective?
According to the Australian Psychological Society psychological treatment provided using videoconferencing technology has been found to be as effective as a face-to-face appointment for a variety of mental health problems.¹
Your GP and/or psychologist can help clarify whether telehealth consultations are appropriate and suitable for you.
You will be able to access a qualified and highly experienced psychologist from a convenient location. This could be in the privacy of your own home, at work, or in your car.
Medicare rebated sessions are available to those eligible.
